Package: fglrx-glx Version: 1:9-10-1 Severity: normal Software is now available to use AMD's proprietary video decoding acceleration API, XvBA.
I have confirmed on a test system that this works, however, it requires a few library files that the Debian package currently ignores (they're in the source package, but don't get installed). Nov 23:06 /usr/lib/libXvBAW.so.1.0 I can confirm that XvBA works if the files are installed like that, however, I'm not sure if this is the directory AMD intends them to be in. Please amend the fglrx-driver source package to get these files installed. I'm filing the bug against fglrx-glx because I think that's the one these files should be in, but the fglrx-driver binary package is also an option. Note that these files alone are not enough to make XvBA work; additional software packages are required that are not currently available in Debian (libva, libva-driver-xvba, patched mplayer).
