Or do you mean that you cannot run other ALSA applications when jackd is running (at 192kHz)? If so, this would be perfectly normal. I even wonder that it works at lower samplerates. Think of exclusive device access for jackd. Everything else needs to be routed through jackd. This situation will be improved with jackd2 and pulseaudio: when jackd2 is starting, it acquires the card from pulseaudio, and pulseaudio would insert the jack modules to output the sound via underlying jackd2. Also note that jackd2 is intended for professional audio, especially as an inter- and intra-application-framework for low latency audio production. You don't need it if you're not doing music production. ;) So please clarify the problem.
