As Agustin pointed out, it's probably too dangerous to have /usr/bin/ispell managed by the alternatives system. However, I will make sure the ispell script (as well as spell) are installed in /usr/share/doc/aspell/examples so that they're easier to find and may be used if the system administrator chooses.
