Can you explain this a bit more? Note that this file is exactly the Texinfo documentation. If anything, I suppose it might be handled via update-alternatives. Also, it looks like M-x Info-validate reports a clean file at the top level here now. Is it possible the original problem has been resolved (at least with respect to emacs23)?
