Thanks for your bug report, sorry it's taken me so long to respond.

I'll contact the GNU Interactive Tools people and see what they think.
I expect the rule of thumb of "first come, first served" will prevail
in this situation, but maybe there's something cool we can do with
/etc/alternatives or something.  We'll see.

Later tonight (hopefully) I'll upload a new version of the package which
will include the "git" program, installed as "/usr/bin/gt".  Cogito's "cg"
script is installed as "/usr/bin/cog", to avoid a similar name conflict
with the cgvg package.  Yes it's gross, but it's what the debian-devel
list chose when I asked them...

I'm going to leave your bug open until a better solution is reached.
