Package: dradio
Version: 3.5-1
Severity: normal
My locale looks like this:
$ locale
LANG=
LC_CTYPE=
LC_NUMERIC="POSIX"
LC_TIME="POSIX"
LC_COLLATE="POSIX"
LC_MONETARY="POSIX"
LC_MESSAGES="POSIX"
LC_PAPER="POSIX"
LC_NAME="POSIX"
LC_ADDRESS="POSIX"
LC_TELEPHONE="POSIX"
LC_MEASUREMENT="POSIX"
LC_IDENTIFICATION="POSIX"
LC_ALL=
Starting dradio with this locale, errs out with:
$ dradio
ANSI_X3.4-1968: CODESET is not supported
and leaves a parantless, nanosleeping mplayer process:
12:57:23.356454 nanosleep({0, 20000000}, NULL) = 0
12:57:23.376495 nanosleep({0, 20000000}, NULL) = 0
12:57:23.396536 nanosleep({0, 20000000}, NULL) = 0
12:57:23.416579 nanosleep({0, 20000000}, NULL) = 0
The main problem is not the cryptic error message, but the lost processes.
Of course, repeatedly restarting dradio in the same manner will produce more
lost mplayer processes.
On the other hand, starting dradio like this:
$ LANG=en_US dradio
produces expected results.
