Michael has merged a very simple patch from me, which inserts a ? every time iconv has failed and proceed with the next character. (revno 1844.1.5) While i am not very happy with the ? symbol itself question marks should be rare in a description and as multibyte characters are recognized as two (or more) characters you get two in a row, which should be even more rare in a normal description. Therefore the description for deja-dup will be D??j?? Dup is a simple backup program. [...] Looks a bit ugly but it is deferentially better than truncating... I like utf-8 even more now. ;) Best regards / Mit freundlichen Grüßen, David "DonKult" Kalnischkies -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
