I was looking at other X packages that need a font like "xterm". There does not seem to be an explicit dependency and I think that is a good thing. The reason is that the X server (which is what provides the fonts) is not necessarily running on the same system as the program. I suppose we should default to (or fallback to) a font like "fixed" that is supposed to be on every X window system.
