Well, exaggerating the effect of this isn't really the best way
to get it a higher priority, but I appreciate that _some_ code,
including yours is broken by it at present.

There are two main things (modulo infinite time) that have kept
this on the backburner still.  One was the experiment with building
this from mainline gcc source, which doesn't appear to have been so
hot, but would have made this package obsolete had it actually worked.

The other is that gcc4.4, which is the next candidate for inclusion,
and supports some things that other people do really want, seems to
have some licencing issues that are yet to be resolved.  Uploading a
new version that some people legally can't use anymore with their
code doesn't seem like a step forward either, but on the assumption
that this was accidental, and will be resolved, I've been patiently
waiting for those discussions to reach some conclusion.
