d-i still doestn't use grub2 by default if you install stable or testing. Only if you install unstable you can't get currently grub-legacy. Well the kFreeBSD ones use grub2 for booting d-i and also for the installed system but I don't think you use that. Anyway when forwarding this bug I forgot about our at_keyboard driver.
