I notice that libgdata has automated tests that are not being run right now.
The tests live in gdata/tests and are triggered by a 'make check'. The
packaging should run them as part of the build, and fail if the tests do.
On a related note, the tests fail for me. Test '/picasaweb/query/album' fails
with:
