Zaptel has been replaced with DAHDI in Squeeze. This issue is not likely
to be resolved in the stable release and hence moving the issue there.
DAHDI has a better-built makefile, e.g. the useless assignment of ARCH
was removed. Could you please re-test latest DAHDI?
Another interesting point is that the code of DAHDI can generally be
dropped as-is into a kernel tree. This would allow configuring it with
Kconfig. Though I must note that modules added in the Debian package
have no Kconfig settings.
