in a few situations, automatic network rule generation is undesireable or contraproductive. For example, some virtualizers generate a new random MAC on each boot of the virtual machine, which will break networking if one doesn't remember to delete the generated network rule before shutting down. Please consider adding an option to disable automatic network rule generation from a dpkg-conffile. If there is a possibility to do this with an _additional_ rule, please document this in README.Debian.gz, as the current wording "Users can add their own rules there or at any other place before 70" does not lead the user into the correct direction if she is not an udev expert.
