Hmm.  The section in `groff(1)' which contains `-w' and `-W' is called
`Transparent Options', and it starts with this paragraph:

  The following options are transparently handed over to the formatter
  program `troff' that is called by `groff' subsequently.  These options
  are described in more detail in `troff(1)'.

There are many other groff options like `-P' or `-K' which refer to
other subprograms.  It's quite error-prone to duplicate all those
options in the groff man page.
