Package: recordmydesktop Version: 0.3.8.1-2
~$ recordmydesktop --print-config recordMyDesktop was compiled with the following options: Jack :Disabled Default Audio Backend :ALSA I've installed jackd and run it, with following in gtk-recordMyDesktop-crash.log: #This is the command given at initialization: recordmydesktop -o /home/xxxx/out.ogv --fps 20 --channels 1 --freq 44100 --device hw:0,0 --v_quality 63 --s_quality 10 --workdir /tmp --on-the-fly-encoding --use-jack system:capture_1 system:capture_2 #recordMyDesktop stderror output: recordMyDesktop is not compiled with Jack support! I can record from MIC. I cannot record from alsa MIX device. So it's not possible to record systemsound. Other ways to do this is - to combine MIC and HEAD with a cable, but sound quality is unusable bad - to record systemsound with Microfon on the speackers, but quality is also unusable bad Only solution for me to get system sound is to run jackd. But this will fail, because there is no support compiled in.
