Could you please provide more information about why this is required?
There's a symlink handled by alternatives (to not conflict with eclipse,
for example) in /usr/share/java.
The 3.4.2-2 revision changed where the content was stored, because
swt-gtk is built upon native extensions, so is arch-dependent. 
To avoid confusion for java developers, which mostly bundle their
classpath & libraries to the non-debian world, I've taken then off
from /usr/share/java since by policy that's the destination for
arch-independent data.
I hope you're able to understand (and maybe agree) with me with this
decision. 
Resuming, there's a symlink in /usr/share/java. 
What's the problem, why don't use that? I don't think duplicating it
to /usr/lib/java is a decision to consider.
