The Debian system uses the "pt_BR" language code for Brazilian Portuguese. In the Apollon package, the "apollon.mo" is installed to the "pt_br" directory (it should be in the pt_BR directory), and hence Apollon starts in English. That happens because the language code is wrong in the source package.
