Package: linux-image-2.6.30-bpo.1-686 Version: 2.6.30-3~bpo50+1 Severity: important
The ondemand cpu frequency scaling governor doesn't work (or is not built in the kernel). I had no problem with previous kernel versions (up to 2.6.29). The frequency scaling works if I use a different governor (powersave, userspace, etc) but it doesn't change the frequency automatically anymore. Sorry if I reported the bug the bug incorrectly or more then once, it's the first time I use the reportbug tool. Have a nice day, Paolo. -- Package-specific info: ** Version: Linux version 2.6.30-bpo.1-686 (Debian 2.6.30-3~bpo50+1) (no...@debian.org) (gcc version 4.3.2 (Debian 4.3.2-1.1) ) #1 SMP Sat Jul 18 22:19:04 UTC 2009 ** Command line: BOOT_IMAGE=/boot/vmlinuz-2.6.30-bpo.1-686 root=UUID=73b2ff46-a22b-42af-bfb4-27226a224927 ro ** Tainted: P (1) ** Kernel log: [ 115.616261] usb-storage: waiting for device to settle before scanning [ 118.376224] ADDRCONF(NETDEV_CHANGE): ath0: link becomes ready [ 120.616176] usb-storage: device scan complete [ 120.617538] scsi 1:0:0:0: Direct-Access RIM BlackBerry SD 0002 PQ: 0 ANSI: 0 CCS [ 120.720082] Driver 'sd' needs updating - please use bus_type methods [ 120.724978] sd 1:0:0:0: [sda] Attached SCSI removable disk [ 128.528024] ath0: no IPv6 routers present [ 129.805419] ACPI: EC: GPE storm detected, transactions will use polling mode [ 162.460024] ath0: no IPv6 routers present [ 713.520044] usb 3-2: reset high speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 4 [ 713.663163] scsi2 : SCSI emulation for USB Mass Storage devices [ 713.685053] usb-storage: device found at 4 [ 713.685055] usb-storage: waiting for device to settle before scanning [ 718.684136] usb-storage: device scan complete [ 718.684693] scsi 2:0:0:0: Direct-Access RIM BlackBerry SD 0002 PQ: 0 ANSI: 0 CCS [ 718.700567] sd 2:0:0:0: [sda] Attached SCSI removable disk [ 1316.472034] usb 3-2: reset high speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 4 [ 1316.615263] scsi3 : SCSI emulation for USB Mass Storage devices [ 1316.637337] usb-storage: device found at 4 [ 1316.637338] usb-storage: waiting for device to settle before scanning [ 1321.636122] usb-storage: device scan complete [ 1321.636628] scsi 3:0:0:0: Direct-Access RIM BlackBerry SD 0002 PQ: 0 ANSI: 0 CCS [ 1321.648826] sd 3:0:0:0: [sda] Attached SCSI removable disk [ 6751.060033] usb 3-2: reset high speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 4 [ 6751.203232] scsi4 : SCSI emulation for USB Mass Storage devices [ 6751.220448] usb-storage: device found at 4 [ 6751.220450] usb-storage: waiting for device to settle before scanning [ 7076.948040] usb 3-2: reset high speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 4 [ 7077.091368] scsi5 : SCSI emulation for USB Mass Storage devices [ 7077.117362] usb-storage: device found at 4 [ 7077.117364] usb-storage: waiting for device to settle before scanning [ 7082.116192] usb-storage: device scan complete [ 7082.117674] scsi 5:0:0:0: Direct-Access RIM BlackBerry SD 0002 PQ: 0 ANSI: 0 CCS [ 7082.124292] sd 5:0:0:0: [sda] Attached SCSI removable disk [ 9683.383499] usb 3-2: USB disconnect, address 4 [15046.789431] vboxdrv: Trying to deactivate the NMI watchdog permanently...
