I wish it had been based on my version which I highly suspect is a lot cleaner. Mine is found here: http://www.tinyplanet.ca/~lsorense/debian/nvidia-96xx-lenny/source/ It actually uses the same architecture as the new driver package does and is much more future proof that the package used to be. I guess Randall is busy or he would have released it already. I put my version there on July 21th and had a few people test it already.
