Alex, there is a bug report in Ubuntu which is somewhat similar to your (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/conky/+bug/405188). Could you perhaps attach your .conkyrc? Its your crash consistent, and if so, how do you trigger it? Could you by any chance obtain a backtrace (http://wiki.debian.org/HowToGetABacktrace)?
