Package: mysql-client-5.1 Version: 5.1.36-4 Severity: normal
As usual upgrade bring a bad news. For a years I have fun with full support of readline in mysql in opposite to others softwares where it is needed. But now after moving from 5.0 to 5.1 we have surprise as usual. By force of habit I have pressed ESC-P expecting prompt for search pattern, but it has the same effect as Ctrl-P, that is previous item in the history, instead. And as usual there no notifaction about such new "feature". And how to search history now? -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.30-1-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=ru_RU.KOI8-R (charmap=KOI8-R) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages mysql-client-5.1 depends on: ii debianutils 3.2 Miscellaneous utilities specific t ii libc6 2.9-23 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libdbd-mysql-perl 4.012-1 A Perl5 database interface to the ii libdbi-perl 1.609-1 Perl Database Interface (DBI) ii libgcc1 1:4.4.1-1 GCC support library ii libmysqlclient16 5.1.36-4 MySQL database client library ii libncurses5 5.7+20090613-1 shared libraries for terminal hand ii libstdc++6 4.4.1-1 The GNU Standard C++ Library v3 ii libwrap0 7.6.q-18 Wietse Venema's TCP wrappers libra ii mysql-common 5.1.36-4 MySQL database common files (e.g. ii perl 5.10.0-24 Larry Wall's Practical Extraction ii zlib1g 1:1.2.3.3.dfsg-14 compression library - runtime mysql-client-5.1 recommends no packages. mysql-client-5.1 suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
