It works fine on my unstable Debian i386 machine:

S'està configurant cpp-4.4 (4.4.1-1) ...
S'està configurant gcc-4.4 (4.4.1-1) ...
$ dpkg -l | grep gcc-4.4
ii gcc-4.4 4.4.1-1 The GNU C compiler
