I would like to have similar functionality available.

My purpose was actually a desire for introducing another command which
could be useful on its own and to be called after both checkout and
update. Codename could be 'assure' may be? since I wanted to place some
mkdir/chmod/chown altering commands. For instance if I had some local
checkout already present on multiple boxes, but then I decided
that I should restrict access to some directory -- I can't just alter
'checkout' command since it would have no effect on those which have a
local checkout already.

Also placing into update requires what Martin has asked -- a simple way
to add post_ commands, but then I would need to either make sure that I
run update after checkout, or just duplicate that command in both
post_ actions. (or may be place cmd into some variable to avoid
duplication).

Or am I missing knowledge on some mr functionality which could help me
to accomplish the mission of 'assure'? ;)
