Not everyone read Russain. And looks like you mixed 2 problems in one bugreport, so it's not very clear, what is your settings in which cases. Lets check ldapscripts without \\PASSWORDGEN="<ask>"\\ first. First of all I need the following info: Is it clean installation of ldapscripts 1.8, or you upgraded from an old one? Do you have libnss-ldap installed? Are your LDAP settings right? Do LDAP work as needed? What is your ldapscripts.conf? (Better attach file without comments, but note quote it.) What is your default shell (I meen /bin/sh)? Feel free to connect me private in Russian in case of troubles.
