vnstat's cron job reported Error: The previous update was after the current date.
Previous update: Sun Jul 10 04:25:30 2005 Current time: Sun Jul 10 03:15:01 2005 Use --force to override this message. Using the wrong time might explain the impossibly large spikes in that vnstat reported in network traffic. I'm wondering why vnstat thought it ran in the future. The system's clock is regularly synchronized by "ntp" and ntp's "peers" command, the "-- MARK --" entries in /var/log/messages and the "date" command all report reasonable times.
