Package: emacs Version: 22.2+2-5 Severity: normal
I have redefined the F-keys to save buffers, invoking latex typesetting etc. by putting e.g. (global-set-key [f12] "\C-x\C-s\C-ctj") in my .emacs file. This usually works but can make emacs hang up completely so that it can only be stopped by killing the process, for example, if the invoked latex typesetting stops at an error and I reinvoke the typesetting command by hitting F12 again, or when trying to exit emacs while there are unsaved buffers. -- System Information: Debian Release: 5.0.2 APT prefers stable APT policy: (500, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.26-2-686 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages emacs depends on: ii emacs22 22.2+2-5 The GNU Emacs editor emacs recommends no packages. emacs suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
