This is probably because you have not installed v4l ptlib plugins.
Please test with the new (tomorrow) 3.6.4 version, it includes all the
plugins, so no need to worry about what plugin you need.
Huh? *.wav doesn't seem like a name for an audio device.
The same happens for video (--grabber), but the error message is:
Unknown grabber device foo
Available devices are:shm,fake,*.yuv,*.avi
I have no idea what this is supposed to mean.
