Package: amsynth Version: 1.2.0-4 Severity: important amsynth cannot be used with jack.
Configured as (MIDI: auto, Audio: auto), amsynth does not load jack library. The console message in this case is "cannot load JACK library". Changing configuration to (MIDI: alsa, Audio: jack) in amsynth yields a console message "no handler for event: 14". Given the configuration is set to (MIDI: alsa, Audio: jack), if the jack server is running, amsynth fails with the following message: cannot load JACK library ** failed to initialise JACK... aborting :'( ** Regards, V -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.26 (SMP w/2 CPU cores; PREEMPT) Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages amsynth depends on: ii libasound2 1.0.20-2 shared library for ALSA applicatio ii libatk1.0-0 1.26.0-1 The ATK accessibility toolkit ii libc6 2.9-12 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libcairo2 1.8.6-2+b1 The Cairo 2D vector graphics libra ii libcairomm-1.0-1 1.8.0-1 C++ wrappers for Cairo (shared lib ii libfontconfig1 2.6.0-3 generic font configuration library ii libfreetype6 2.3.9-4.1 FreeType 2 font engine, shared lib ii libgcc1 1:4.4.0-5 GCC support library ii libglib2.0-0 2.20.1-2 The GLib library of C routines ii libglibmm-2.4-1c2a 2.20.0-1 C++ wrapper for the GLib toolkit ( ii libgtk2.0-0 2.16.1-2 The GTK+ graphical user interface ii libgtkmm-2.4-1c2a 1:2.16.0-2 C++ wrappers for GTK+ 2.4 (shared ii libjack0 0.116.1-4 JACK Audio Connection Kit (librari ii libpango1.0-0 1.24.0-3+b1 Layout and rendering of internatio ii libpangomm-1.4-1 2.24.0-2 C++ Wrapper for pango (shared libr ii libsigc++-2.0-0c2a 2.0.18-2 type-safe Signal Framework for C++ ii libsndfile1 1.0.18-2 Library for reading/writing audio ii libstdc++6 4.4.0-5 The GNU Standard C++ Library v3 amsynth recommends no packages. amsynth suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
