The invalid pointer is probably caused by ELinks bug 1081: http://bugzilla.elinks.cz/show_bug.cgi?id=1081 This has been fixed but 0.12pre5 hasn't yet been released. I don't see any obvious reason for the mem_free(NULL). It may be from the same memory corruption.
