Package: tellico Version: 1.3.3-1 Severity: normal
My system is using charset UTF8, and I'm using a z39.50 database that uses iso-8859-1 charset. When I get a record from that database, no special characters will be displayed. Example: host: porbase.bnportugal.pt port: 210 Database: porbase Charset: iso8859-1 Format UNIMARC I search for "dragao" and I get a record with the following title: ˆO ‰grande dragÄao which is wrong I'd be expecting "O grande dragão" This happens on all records, on all record fields In shord: the search is made using the right charset for the database, the results are shown in the charset received from the database the results are NOT transalted to my charset Best regards -- System Information: Debian Release: 5.0.2 APT prefers stable APT policy: (1000, 'stable'), (800, 'testing'), (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.26-1-686 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages tellico depends on: ii kdelibs4c2a 4:3.5.10.dfsg.1-0lenny1 core libraries and binaries for al ii libc6 2.7-18 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libexempi3 2.0.1-1 library to parse XMP metadata (Lib ii libkcal2b 4:3.5.9-5 KDE calendaring library ii libkcddb1 4:3.5.9-2 CDDB library for KDE ii libpoppler-qt2 0.8.7-2 PDF rendering library (Qt 3 based ii libqt3-mt 3:3.3.8b-5+b1 Qt GUI Library (Threaded runtime v ii libstdc++6 4.3.2-1.1 The GNU Standard C++ Library v3 ii libtag1c2a 1.5-3 TagLib Audio Meta-Data Library ii libxml2 2.6.32.dfsg-5 GNOME XML library ii libxslt1.1 1.1.24-2 XSLT processing library - runtime ii libyaz3 3.0.34-2 The YAZ Z39.50 toolkit (runtime fi ii tellico-data 1.3.3-1 collection manager for books, vide ii tellico-scripts 1.3.3-1 collection manager for books, vide Versions of packages tellico recommends: ii khelpcente 4:4.0.0.really.3.5.9.dfsg.1-6 help center for KDE tellico suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
