Package: wine Version: 1.1.22-1 Severity: normal
Hello, I am using a debian/stable installation of wine. Because I was affected by bug : http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=10547 which is declared to be fixed in wine >= 1.1.13 I decided to use wine from experimental: sudo apt-get -t experimental install wine However trying to run anything leads to: $ wine setup.exe wine client error:0: version mismatch 0/386. Your wineserver binary was not upgraded correctly, or you have an older one somewhere in your PATH. Or maybe the wrong wineserver is still running? One thus has to manually kill the wineserver already running: $ /usr/lib32/wine/wineserver -k It would be nice if the pre/postinst command would do it. thanks ! -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers stable APT policy: (900, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.26-2-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages wine depends on: ii libwine-cms 1.1.22-1 Windows API implementation - color ii libwine-gl 1.1.22-1 Windows API implementation - OpenG ii libwine-gphoto2 1.1.22-1 Windows API implementation - camer ii libwine-ldap 1.1.22-1 Windows API implementation - LDAP ii libwine-oss 1.1.22-1 Windows API implementation - OSS s ii libwine-print 1.1.22-1 Windows API implementation - print ii libwine-sane 1.1.22-1 Windows API implementation - scann ii wine-bin 1.1.22-1 Windows API implementation - binar ii wine-utils 1.1.22-1 Windows API implementation - utili Versions of packages wine recommends: ii ttf-liberation 1.04.93-1 Free fonts with the same metrics a Versions of packages wine suggests: pn avscan | klamav | clamav <none> (no description available) ii binfmt-support 1.2.11 Support for extra binary formats pn ttf-mscorefonts-installer <none> (no description available) pn winbind <none> (no description available) pn wine-doc <none> (no description available) Versions of packages libwine depends on: ii ia32-libs 2.7 ia32 shared libraries for use on a ii libc6-i386 2.7-18 GNU C Library: 32bit shared librar -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
