I have the same problem and when I open network-admin in a terminal the
message is:
(network-admin:6536): Gtk-WARNING **: Unknown property:
GtkComboBox.items

After the update of system-tools-backends on my Debian Lenny I have the
same problem.
I think the problem come from system-tools-backends.
