Package: mnemosyne Version: 1.2.1-1 Severity: grave Justification: renders package unusable
Whether run as root or user, mnemosyne never runs! The closest it has been to running is saying "Either Mnemosyne didn't shut down properly, or another copy of Mnemosyne is still running. Continuing in the latter case could lead to data loss!" giving the options "Exit" or "Continue" both of which do absolutely nothing. The first time I experienced this issue on Squeeze (previous installation on same computer - I've had to reinstall my operating system since then), I thought that I could just solve this issue by removing the config files in Mnemosyne's home directory. That solved this little error message on Lenny, Windows, and earlier on in Squeeze if I'm not mistaken. However, now, the problem does not go away and Mnemosyne doesn't even run at all! -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.26-2-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_CA.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_CA.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages mnemosyne depends on: ii python 2.5.4-2 An interactive high-level object-o ii python-pygame 1.8.1release-1 SDL bindings for games development ii python-qt3 3.17.6-2 Qt3 bindings for Python ii python-support 1.0.3 automated rebuilding support for P mnemosyne recommends no packages. mnemosyne suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
