I think I found a hint that may help: the connection-deconnection problem is likely to be associated with ticking the box "Automatically connecting to this network". I cannot fully confirm this now as I am not at home but I observe that similar problem occur with other wireless networks when the above functionality is selected while everything goes fine otherwise. I will try to untick the box when I am back home.
