$ mount -l /dev/hda5 on / type ext3 (rw,relatime,errors=remount-ro) [/] tmpfs on /lib/init/rw type tmpfs (rw,nosuid,mode=0755) proc on /proc type proc (rw,noexec, nosuid, nodev) sysfs on /sys type sysfs (rw,noexec, nosuid, nodev) procbususb on /proc/bus/usb type usbfs (rw) udev on /dev type tmpfs (rw,mode=0755) tmpfs on /dev/shm type tmpfs (rw,nosuid, nodev) devpts on /dev/pts type devpts (rw,noexec,nosuid,gid=5,mode=620) /dev/hda1 on /boot/grub type ext3 (rw,relatime) /dev/hda7 on /home type ext3 (rw,relatime) /dev/hdc2 on /var/tmp type ext3 (rw,relatime) binfmt_misc on /proc/sys/fs/binfmt_misc type binfmt_misc (rw,noexec, nosuid, nodev) As you can see, there's not much different about /var/tmp I think I formatted it with mkfs.ext3 -T largefile but it was a while ago. I've resized it with gparted since then. Who knows, there's clearly something "weird" about that partition. I'm relieved this is only affecting a few people. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact
