/var/log/wicd/wicd.log -- could you please provide it? sorry for the late answer. I expected an email notice from the bug tracking system and this notice never came! I have extracted a piece of the log file you asked for when wicd connects and reconnects. I have checked that the same thing happens every 10 seconds or so.
