This bug was fixed by FreeBSD people and patch is provided at http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/query-pr.cgi?pr=125327
I have tested it -- seems to indeed resolve the problem (at least for me
;))
Brandon, I wonder if you are still interested in maintaining this
package... I know that upstream is somewhat dead, but the tool is really
handy to have
