This build of fluidsynth doesn't seem to have ALSA support. I haven't used it
before, so I can't say whether this problem is recent or not.

$ fluidsynth -m alsa_seq Gort\'s_Synth_J1.SF2
fluidsynth: error: Couldn't find the requested midi driver
Failed to create the MIDI thread; no MIDI input
will be available. You can access the synthesizer
through the console.
fluidsynth version 1.0.6
...

$ fluidsynth -m alsa_seq -a alsa Gort\'s_Synth_J1.SF2
fluidsynth: error: Couldn't find the requested audio driver: alsa
Failed to create the audio driver

Also there is no mention of the string "alsa" neither in the application binary
nor in the library, save for the help text.
