Hi, since the upgrade to gnome-session-2.26, mail-notification was not started automatically any more, and did not show up in gnome-session-properties. I fixed this by creating /usr/share/gnome/autostart/mail-notification.desktop, based on the regular mail-notification.desktop, but with these lines appended: X-GNOME-DocPath=mail-notification/mail-notification.xml X-GNOME-Autostart-Phase=Application X-GNOME-Autostart-Notify=false X-GNOME-AutoRestart=true Not sure about the correct value for X-GNOME-Autostart-Notify.
