Hello In the past libsword was build without UTF-8 support for international characters. This has been fixed, and I can't reproduce this behaiviour with latest Xiphos / libsword. But my machine is setup to be international friendly for various language I use including german.
Would you be able to try out Xiphos 3.0.1-1 from experimental?
