for just such an invasive change :-).  Probably it could be tidied a
bit, but 'libhighlight-perl' now installs the perl bindings, and at
least the test script shipped by upstream works.

I'd also be willing to adopt/co-maintain this package (as opposed to
NMU) as I am using it quite a lot for $work. That might make more
sense for such a big change.
