Package: aptitude Version: 0.4.11.11-1 On a squeeze-based box with all of oldstable through experimental in sources.list, after selecting xorg packages for upgrade to sid, I selected xserver-xorg-input-joystick for install. The policy made aptitude select the version currently in squeeze, which creates a conflict with sid xserver-xorg-core. Now if from there I manually select the sid version instead, the conflict indicator stays, and the status bar says "Internal error: unexpected null solution.".
