hiya,
here's an example produced by git dch:
[ Sean Finney ]
* fix syntax error in phpize5 caused by libtool2.2.patch (Closes:
#529248) - thanks to Michal Čihař
i'd like to suggest the following changes:
* "Thanks:" lines map to their own seperate line and start with a
capitalized T (i.e. "- Thanks to ")
* "Closes:" text follows "Thanks:" instead of the other way around
* "Closes:" text shouldn't be broken and line-wrapped half-way (i.e.
line wrap earlier and include the whole text on the next line).
so using the above example:
[ Sean Finney ]
* fix syntax error in phpize5 caused by libtool2.2.patch
- Thanks to Michal Čihař (Closes: #529248)
and if Thanks: text were a bit longer:
[ Sean Finney ]
* fix syntax error in phpize5 caused by libtool2.2.patch
- Thanks to Michal Čihař <[email protected]>
(Closes: #529248)
if that seems reasonable i can send you a patch.
