Package: nmap Version: 4.68-1 Severity: normal Hi,
I have a blackhole route for the entire 10.0.0.0/8 network so rfc1918 addresses don't leave my home network via the default route. When scanning 10.0.0.0/16, of which some /24s are routeable, nmap hangs in the error handler when encountering an address that is blackholed: sendto in send_ip_packet: sendto(5, packet, 40, 0, 10.0.6.1, 16) => Network is unreachable Offending packet: TCP 212.202.168.3:35586 > 10.0.6.1:80 A ttl=54 id=21760 iplen=40 seq=1251305006 win=3072 ack=2379721708 Sleeping 15 seconds then retrying etc. Simon -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: powerpc (ppc) Kernel: Linux 2.6.26-1-powerpc Locale: LANG=ja_JP.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=ja_JP.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages nmap depends on: ii libc6 2.9-12 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libgcc1 1:4.4.0-4 GCC support library ii libpcap0.8 1.0.0-1 system interface for user-level pa ii libpcre3 7.8-2 Perl 5 Compatible Regular Expressi ii libssl0.9.8 0.9.8g-16 SSL shared libraries ii libstdc++6 4.4.0-4 The GNU Standard C++ Library v3 nmap recommends no packages. nmap suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
