Starting xchat2 leads to segfaulting it. dmesg hints to libmalaga.so. This then led me to the xchats systray plugin, which - removing it - cures xchat again making it start and work normaly again.

Here's the excerpt from dmesg I mentioned above.
([32725.529883] xchat[22179]: segfault at 0 ip 00007fbf624e3bba sp 00007fff75457aa8 error 4 in libmalaga.so.7.0.0[7fbf624ca000+21000]).
