Hi,
OK, this is mystifying. You have the configuration file, and the
size is not 0. If you look into the file
/etc/emacs21/site-start.d/50vm-init.el, can you see if ti sets the
load-path, and requires vm-autoload? If it does, I have no idea why vm
is not found; the autoload should handle that.
