tags 496974 confirmed thanks for your bug report, I can confirm it with 2:4.6.2-2 version and with last upstream version (4.6.2)
to reproduce it: $ touch test $ chmod 000 test $ rm test rm: remove write-protected regular empty file `test'? try again, but remove test file with mc: there is no warning message and file is deleted. Best regards Denis Briand
