Got same problem. Strace on iceweasel (epiphany-browser too) ends with:

(No such file or directory)

If I try to remove etc/gnome-vfs-2.0/modules/default (or even comment
out file: file), iceweasel starts just fine.
So it seems to be some problem of new eglibc with gnome-vfs.
