Well, alsa is a deprecated initscript which is only useful for users which want to load|unload snd drivers via selfmade scripts. See [0] [0] /usr/share/doc/alsa-base/NEWS.Debian.gz -- Obviously the human brain works like a computer. Since there are no stupid computers humans can't be stupid.
