I looked into the log file (/var/log/libvirt/qemu/) and it showed the following warning. Warning: no scancode found for keysym 0 I also tried to install Debian again and tested the key during this and it was also not recognized there (normal or graphical) – also then this warning was not written to the log. The warning appears only if I hit Shift + `. So this problem seems to be related to qemu. Maybe this bug [1] is related to this. If yes, could you please reassign this bug.
